Core mass fractions vs. normalized density for a range of planetary bodies and meteorites. Exoplanet data are derived from recent studies (Adibekyan et al. 2021; Barros et al. 2022; Goffo et al. 2023) and the NASA Exoplanet Archive2. Compositions for the Earth and other Solar System bodies and meteorites are from various sources (e.g., Grewal et al. 2024; Alexander 2019; Rubin et al. 2003; Palme & O’Neill 2014; Ostrowski & Bryson 2019; Wasson & Richardson 2001). The maximum collisional limit is from Marcus et al. (2010).
