Median observed spectra of rapid- (yellow), fast- (red), and slow- (black) quenching galaxies. Galaxies are split by Hδ_A strength into PSBs and quiescent. Furthermore, the quiescent galaxies are split based on their size metric, Δlog(R_e), into small [Δlog(R_e)≤ − 0.23] and large [Δlog(R_e)≥0.23]. The spectra are smoothed, and normalized at 4000 Å for comparison, while the model spectra are shown with an arbitrary vertical offset for clarity.
