Notes. The activity levels were chosen the following: ‘high activity’ was taken to be the day of highest active region coverage (0.55% spots and 2.2% faculae), ‘mean activity’ to the day with the mean spot area coverage area coverage (0.04% for the spots and 0.81% for the faculae), and the ‘low activity’ case is represented via the day of the minimum faculae area coverage of 0.28% with no spots present on the solar disc at all.
