Cluster positions projected using Galactic coordinates. The clusters are color-coded according to their distances in parsecs using the color scale shown on the right, and their IDs are labeled. Note that IC4725 is located outside of this map to the left, on the other side of the Galactic bulge. The sample clusters are distributed across the Southern Galactic plane, covering a wide range in longitudes. This means that they are different projected background densities along the line of sight, and are subject to different contamination, with the most complicated clusters located in the bulge, to the left of this map.
