Precession of the angular momentum vector (L) of the inner torus when a steady accretion torque τf = τA is applied. This figure is projected into the plane perpendicular to the black-hole spin. In the absence of an accretion torque, the angular momentum vector executes free Lense-Thirring precession, LLT(t), around the direction of the black hole spin. When the torque is applied, the general solution consists of free Lense-Thirring precession about a new direction, shifted by a constant, L ̂ Mathematical equation: $ \hat{L} $).

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
