Light curve of 2022 outburst of SAX J1808 in 0.5–10 keV energy band, using 1 ks bins. NICER observations are shown in black, and XMM-Newton observations are given in red. The blue star marks the epoch of the HST/STIS observation (2022 September 10). We rescaled the XMM-Newton count rate to the NICER count rate using a conversion factor of 1.44, which was calculated with the WebPIMMS tool (https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/Tools/w3pimms/w3pimms.pl), and a power-law model with a photon index of Γ = 2.04 (Table 2).
