The O3N2 values for stacked mock spectra in this study are calibrated using the Curti et al. (2017) relation. The layout of the panels is consistent with the bottom panel of Fig. 18. Bottom panels: Mass-metallicity relation (MZR), showing the dependence of gas-phase metallicity (inferred from O3N2) on stellar mass. The layout matches Fig. 14.
