Simulated daily observations of Proxima Centauri b for one orbit in the 1:1 SOR (left) and two orbits in the 3:2 SOR (right) with LIFE, averaged over wavelengths in the range 9.15–10.15 µm to probe spatial and temporal variations in the O3 feature. For the 1:1 SOR, the daily averaged fluxes are spread over 32.18◦ corresponding to the phase angle shift per day. For the eccentric 3:2 SOR, the daily phase angle shift varies, as shown by the varying arcs of the measurements. The two orbits of the 3:2 SOR are shown by circles and squares, respectively.
