Table 2
Range of radial distance from the centre for low-mass and high-mass protostars.

| 105 | 0.002 | 0.2 | 18 | 366 |
| 104 | 0.001 | 0.1 | 18 | 355 |
| 103 | 6 × 10−4 | 0.06 | 20 | 300 |
| 102 | 4 × 10−4 | 0.03 | 10 | 203 |
| 10 | 1.5 × 10−4 | 0.015 | 10 | 200 |
| 1 | 10−4 | 0.01 | 8 | 160 |
Notes. The central mass is based on the Hertzsprung-Russel diagram. All grids are computed with 100 gas cells. For L* > 103L⊙, r0 = 0.05 pc and n0 = 107 cm−3 are adopted, while r0 = 0.03 pc for L* = 103 L⊙. For L* ≤ 102 L⊙, r0 = 0.005 pc and n0 = 108 cm−3 are used. Grain size a = 0.5 μm is adopted to account for the grain growth effect.
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
