Notes. Minimum seed masses Mseed inferred by inverting Eq. (17) for the 21 objects in the sample (extinction-corrected fits). The inversion assumes seed formation at zseed = 20 and η = 0.1. The final mass Mfinal and λEdd are the median values of the posterior distributions from the MCMC fits (with extinction included). The last column gives an assignment to common seed channels by mass. We report values rounded to one decimal place, except the Eddington ratio, which we round to two decimal places. We omit blazars B2 1023+25 and GB6 B1428+4217 for reasons discussed in Appendix B.
