Optical spectra reproduced from Thuan & Izotov (2005, their Fig. 2). Observation taken with the MMT spectrograph (blue channel) at the 6.5 m MMTO. A 2″ × 300″ slit was used, and the brightest part of the north-western H II region was extracted using a 6″ × 2″ extraction aperture. For our discussion, see Sect. 4.1.
