Notes. Each row corresponds to a different cleaning strategy. Being limited by signal loss, the highest amplitudes are the closest-to-truth, although all amplitude values agree within ≲2σ. In bold, we highlight: PCA and PCAw to bracket the PCA-like results, mPCA as representative of the multiscale solutions and our benchmark from CL23 (last row), which corresponds to a weighted PCAw with different pre-processing choices and a transfer function correction applied.
