Random samples from each of the following datasets: ImageNet-1K (top row), GalaxyMNIST (second row), Radio Galaxy Zoo (RGZ, third row), and MeerKAT MGCLS (bottom row). GalaxyMNIST and RGZ are labeled according to morphology class, while MGCLS is labeled by the number of compact sources present. White boxes indicate object bounding boxes used for source detection, when applicable. The rightmost two columns display sample images in their raw data format, unscaled, next to the corresponding histogram. GalaxyMNIST combines data from the Dark Energy Camera’s r, g, and z channels, while radio images are single-channel continuum images reconstructed from Fourier space, which can therefore include negative values as is indicated by the different colors in the histogram.
