Table 1
Input parameters.
| Parameter | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| n0 | 5 × 105 cm−3 | Gas density at the core |
| α | -2 | Slope of gas density |
| rflat | 0.02 pc | Radius of uniform gas density |
| rout | 0.6 pc | Outer radius of the cloud |
| U0 | 1 | Ambient radiatio field (aISRF) |
| γ | 0.3 | Anisotropic degree of aISRF |
| λ̄0 | 1.2 μm | Mean-wavelength of aISRF |
| Tgas,0 | 16.4 K | Gas temperature at the surface |
| β | -3.5 | Power-index of size distribution |
| fmax | 1.0 | Maximum alignment efficiency |
| ψ | 90° | Inclination angle of B-field |
| Fturb | 1.0 | Turbulence factor of B-field |
Notes. For demonstration purposes, Fturb is assigned a value of 1.0, representing a uniform magnetic field. It is recommended to determine the appropriate values tailored to each specific target. In this study, for Pipe-109, we computed Fturb as 0.98, 0.96, and 0.91 for the R-, H-bands, and submm wavelengths respectively. The values of n0, rflat and rout are for the Pipe-109 (see Section 4.1), and the value of γ is used as a constant.
