Average vertical profiles of the densities of the main chemical species of Ganymede’s atmosphere O2, H2O, O, H2, and H in the auroral regions, outlined by the yellow polygons in Fig. 1. These profiles were directly extracted from the atmospheric model of Vorburger et al. (2024).
